Barbara Kustra
Director

Barbara is the founder and director of Refocus Programs and has worked in the field of addiction for the past 25 years.  Barb was the inaugural consultant counsellor for the Victorian Doctors Health Program. She brings deep expertise and an eclectic approach to working with clients.  She conducts groups sessions and specialises in providing behavioural change and neuroscience workshops in a positive and fun environment.

Dr Naham (Jack) Warhaft
Specialist Physician – Addiction Medicine
MBBS, FANZCA, GradDipSubsAbuse, FAChAM (RACP)
Jack has worked in addiction medicine since the 1990s and in 2001 became the founding Medical Director of the Victorian Doctors Health Program. From 2009 to 2017 he was the addiction medicine physician at Malvern Private Hospital in Melbourne, developing and implementing treatment guidelines, and medical services. Jack is renowned for his exceptional empathy and compassion.

Dr Ralf Humphries
Group Facilitator & Counsellor

Cert IV in Training & Assessment
Ralf was formerly a Buddhist monk in the Thai Forest Tradition. He is a facilitator in compassionate and nonviolent communication, mindfulness mediation and wellness. He has taught counselling at a university level and at the Phoenix Institute in Melbourne. Ralf was the editor of New Principles of an Awakened Relationship, a book about human spiritual evolution and relationships.

Lana Sissil
Group Facilitator & Counsellor

Dip Gestalt Therapy
Lana has been working at Refocus for 14 years and has extensive experience working in hospitals providing groups and counselling for patients with drug and alcohol issues as well as mental health challenges. Her specialty is working with mindfulness techniques to develop rational thought processes. She is on the faculty of Monash University Medicine that works with mindfulness groups.

Diana Dalheimer
Group Facilitator, Counsellor and Family Therapist

EMDR therapist.
Diana has worked in private and public facilities treating addictions and trauma for over 10 years. At Refocus she provides therapy and support to families, couple and individual clients with complex needs. Diana is a skilled in EMDR which is used for people suffering from PTSD and other trauma-related difficulties. She is known for her authenticity and compassion.

Heath Richardson 
Group Facilitator & Counsellor
BA Counselling
Heath has built reputation for successful engagement with complex clients. He has worked in the human service, mental health and addiction recovery area for the last nine years. He is an engaging and insightful group facilitator with specialist training and expertise in clinical supervision, LGBTI and CALD health, and critical incident, stress and trauma recovery. Heath uses ‘person centred therapy’ in his therapeutic approach. Heath is known for his exceptional emotional intelligence.

Marnie McDonald
Group Facilitator & Counsellor

P.Grad Communications (Public Relations)
Marnie has worked at Refocus for the last five years. Prior to this she travelled extensively throughout Asia, teaching English as a second language. Marnie brings great empathy to her work and is inspired by watching the Refocus clients recover from addiction and ‘come back to life’. She is renowned for her humour and positivity.

Paul McDonnell
Group Facilitator & Counsellor
Dip Community Services Mental Health / Alcohol and Other Drugs
Paul has significant experience in management and clinical work in leading private hospital as a senior addiction and recovery practitioner. He is an engaging group facilitator and has a great understanding of recovery from complex trauma and how to let go of cravings and defective thought processes. Paul can help clients feel safe while challenging their old, unhealthy core beliefs and behaviours.

Stuart Fenton 
Group Facilitator & Counsellor
B.A. Dip. Ed. Grad. Dip. Couns, Master of Gestalt, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (candidate)
Stuart (Stu) was most recently Programme Director at R12. He has over 15 years’ experience in treating chemical and process addictions, co-dependency and sex and love addiction. Stu is renowned for his family interventions, gentle, relational therapeutic style. He is respectful, firm but fair in his approach to clients.

Fenella McCall
Administration and client services

Advanced Grad Dip in Psychology – (Current)
Fenella has a background in retail and client services and is now applying her exceptional customer service ethos to working with Refocus clients and families. She discovered her interest in addiction and mental health in 2015 and is currently undertaking an Advanced Grad Dip in Psychology. Fenelle has a clinical interest in depression, anxiety and childhood trauma. She is a great problem solver and very approachable.
